The Regina Brindle Grant Program aims to honour the significant contributions that Regina Brindle made to the promotion of consumer voices in the alcohol and other drug (AOD) and mental health and wellbeing (MHW) sectors in Victoria, and to establishing practices that support their participation in civil society.
Grants are awarded to support projects designed by and for Victorian consumers.
Each year, the Regina Brindle Grant Program awards grants of up to $5,000 to individuals or small groups who are past or present consumers, and who have lived and living experience of AOD and mental health challenges. Family members, partners and supporters are also eligible to apply.
The applicant or applicants must be over 18 years of age and be residents of Victoria.
The deadline for submitting applications is
Friday 15th March 2024.
The amount of $5,000 may be awarded as one grant or as several small grants, depending on the Regina Brindle Grant Program Committee’s assessment of submitted applications.
Grants will be awarded to projects that aim to do any of the following:
- Promote the consumer voice
- Foster community engagement and inclusion
- Promote human rights
- Address barriers to social inclusion experienced by AOD and/or MHWB consumers
- Reduce stigma and disadvantage
