Gathering to remember on overdose awareness day

The lives of those lost to overdose will be honoured at an event hosted by SHARC on 1 September 2025.

The gathering is being held to mark International Overdose Awareness Day, the world’s largest annual campaign to end overdose.

This initiative acknowledges the profound impact of the loss of loved ones to overdose, while raising awareness of one of the worst public health crises globally.

In keeping with this year’s theme, ‘One big family,’ SHARC invites you to join us as we again stand together to reflect and remember as a community.

At SHARC, we recognise people, cultures, religions, and communities have their own ways of grieving and of living with loss.

We acknowledge and respect such differences, while honouring our organisation’s practice of gathering to recognise and remember those who have died.

WHEN: Monday 1 September 2025, 10.30am for 11am start, followed by light refreshments at 12pm

WHERE: SHARC, 140 Grange Rd, Carnegie 3163

RSVP: By Friday 22 August, including any dietary requirements, via Eventbrite.
