Coronial findings into the death of Veronica Nelson have highlighted the tragic consequences of pervasive stigmatisation of people, especially women who use drugs. APSU Position Paper: Decriminalisation of Public Drunkenness in Victoria
The Victorian Government is preparing to decriminalise public drunkenness and has committed to implementing a health-based response to replace police powers to arrest.
