Building Victoria’s Peer Workforce – Call out to prospective AOD Peer Workers

hands

The Self Help Addiction Resource Centre (SHARC) is leading the development of the emerging lived experience workforce in the Victorian Alcohol and Drug sector. SHARC envisions that every peer worker receives consistent high level training and support and agencies who employ workers hold an authentic understanding of the role of the peer worker.

Do you want to take your recovery journey to the next step and help others?

We are making a call out to people interested in becoming a peer worker in the alcohol and other drug (AOD) sector as well as existing peer workers and volunteers looking for new opportunities in 2018.

SHARC’s is facilitating an information session for interested people to explore:

  • Opportunities for peer worker employment
  • SHARC’s role in the development, education and support of the peer workforce
  • Network and connect with SHARC and other peer workers
  • The SHARC Peer Worker Model

You will be able to register your interest in future opportunities/roles on the day.
